Every day, millions of people and their families experience the devastating effects of cancer. World Cancer Day falls on February 4th each year and raises awareness surrounding the global fight to cure cancer. The following US-based organizations are doing the critical and important work to find the cure for cancer of all types through research, advocacy, and global collaboration. Your donation to this Fund will help these nonprofits continue their search for a cure while providing support to and hope to those impacted by cancer.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor the victims and survivors of childhood cancer. The American Cancer Society reports that approximately 9,910 children in the United States under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer in 2023. Cancer is currently one of the leading causes of death in children in the United States, and the leading cause of death in children by disease. The following organizations are working towards a shared mission of ending childhood cancer and supporting children and families impacted by a pediatric cancer diagnosis. These organizations are providing supportive services for children and families impacted by pediatric cancer and utilizing research and advocacy to innovate medical treatments and increase awareness surrounding pediatric cancer in an effort to find a cure.

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is recognized every September by childhood cancer organizations around the world. With a goal to increase awareness and raise funds for those affected by childhood cancer, September is the best opportunity to rally interest and to get others involved in the cause. AppD Cares is fortunate to have a group of impactful global nonprofit partners dedicated to finding cures and making sure that Childhood Cancer will eventually become a thing of the past. In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, AppD Cares has donated $20,000 split evenly to Children with Cancer UK, the Care-for-Rare Foundation (Germany), St. Jude Children’s Research Center and St. Baldrick’s.

A fund for others, driven by the the WEST and those in our lives. Happy Holidays. We can make a difference even when we're unable to provide with our own hands, and social impact not only works to achieve the mission—it empowers individuals to effect change. Mobilizing people to make the world a better place for all of us. It feels good.

In 2013, I ran my first marathon as a St. Jude Hero. In 2015, I did it again. Both times, I carried the names, the stories, and the strength of children fighting for their lives. And those experiences have never left me. Now, over a decade later, I’m preparing to run my 12th marathon — the 2026 London Marathon — and once again, I’ll be running as a St. Jude Hero. This isn’t just another race for me. This is a full-circle moment: representing an organization that has profoundly shaped my running journey, on one of the world’s most iconic stages. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is changing the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. And families never receive a bill — not for treatment, travel, housing, or food — because all a parent should worry about is helping their child live.
