1 in 10 people don’t have access to clean water. That isn’t right. That’s why we're partnering with #TeamWater to bring clean water to 2 million people around the world. #TeamWater is a creator-led crowdfunding campaign that will change millions of lives with clean water. Together, we're raising $40 Million to reach 2 million people around the world with clean water, for decades. This is an ambitious campaign with WaterAid projects in more than 20 countries with a particular focus on Bangladesh, Cambodia, Colombia, Mozambique, Nigeria and Rwanda. It will take five years for WaterAid and partners to complete the #TeamWater projects. When we are finished we will have reached 2,000,000 people. The core component of this campaign is sustainability. Delivering water isn’t a top-down, quick fix and our projects are designed to last for decades. Finding the right solution for every community, every time, depends on many factors. It could mean drilling a well for a community tap; or using the power of gravity to transport water to a treatment plant and on to homes through piped networks. It could mean something as simple as capturing and treating rainwater to serve a whole school or using solar power to pump water from hundreds of feet underground.
